TALS Board Member Karla McKanders on VAWA renewal

Karla McKanders, Associate Professor at the University of Tennessee College of Law, and TALS board member, writes a compelling case for the renewal of the Violence Against Women Act. She joins Attorney General Bob Cooper, the American Bar Assocation, and others encouraging Congress to renew the act this year.

She writes "Saving lives is not a partisan affair, but passing legislation to protect our families requires political support. Tennesseans need to urge their elected representatives to move the Violence Against Women Act forward. We owe it to our families."
