Equal Justice University: Class of 2011 Sponsors
Equal Justice University (EJU) is the TALS annual conference, which seeks to enhance access to justice by providing high quality educational and networking opportunities for civil legal services providers, pro bono attorneys, and law students interested in public interest law in Tennessee. Each year EJU evolves its conference content and services to meet the growing civil needs of vulnerable Tennesseans. The EJU class of 2011 is no exception. EJU offers new scholarship opportunities, inclusive trainings that serve all legal services advocates including attorneys, social workers, and support staff (link to calendar when it’s up), and influential and eloquent keynote speakers.
To maintain this growth, TALS relies on the assistance and support of EJU sponsors. Without their pivotal support EJU would not be as dynamic as it is today.

The Tennessee Bar Association is a voluntary association dedicated to enhancing fellowship among members of the state's legal community. TALS and the TBA work closely on several projects including Tennessee Disaster Legal Services and the newly launch web-based pro bono clinic OnlineTNJustice.org. - National Association of Social Workers Tennessee Chapter
Founded in 1955, the National Association of Social Workers is the largest membership association of professional social workers in the world, with more than 145,000 members in the United States and overseas. The NASW Tennessee Chapter is partnering this year with TALS to provide Social Work CEUs for a full day of sessions at EJU! This is yet another great collaboration with access to justice and social workers in Tennessee, which expands on existing partnerships in individual legal aid offices and service programs. 
Tennessee Disability Coalition
The Coalition and its member organizations represent Tennesseans of every age, economic background, political persuasion and disability. Some are disability-specific groups while others are cross-disability, but each is committed to collaboration toward improving the lives of all Tennesseans who are touched by a disability. Tennessee Voices for Children, Inc. (TVC) was formally organized in 1990 by Tipper Gore as a statewide coalition of individuals, agencies and organizations working together as a Steering Council to promote children’s health and education services. TVC has progressed to become a statewide and national source of referral, support, and advocacy for families and the systems that serve them. TALS shares TVC’s commitment to the wellbeing of Tennessee’s children and is proud to welcome them to the EJU family. - Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability
The Tennessee Commission on Aging and Disability brings together and leverages programs, resources, and organizations to protect and ensure the quality of life and independence of older Tennesseans and adults with disabilities. She served as Tennessee Bar Association President in 2007-2008 and currently serves on the Access to Justice Commission’s Advisory Committee on Unmet Legal Needs.
