Please call or stop by the LAET office to apply for service. Please understand that LAET is a small publicly funded law firm with adequate resources to assist only 5-20% of the people in its service area who have legal problems and are eligible for its services. While LAET cannot help everyone, it does encourage everyone who may be eligible to call or visit its office. LAET will be happy to determine what it can do to assist you when you call or stop by its office.
Please call before coming in to the office. You may not have to come to the office. LASMTC may be able to help by phone or mail. LASMTC may be able to come to the county where you live.  LASMTC only takes legal problems that a person cannot go to jail for. If you have a criminal case, you need to call the Public Defender’s office.
