ABA Free Legal Answers Team Receives Pro Bono Impact Award

The law firm Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz P.C. recognized members of the ABA Free Legal Answers Technical Team on Thursday, September 29, 2016. The team was presented with the CEO's Circle 2016 Pro Bono Impact Award. The Pro Bono Impact Team Award recognizes the team's "tireless efforts in the pursuit of access to justice for all". The Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services' Director of Training, Compliance, and Technology, Samantha Sanchez, was included in the recognition. Sanchez works as the product owner for the project, where she advises team members of what site elements to implement. Other members of the team include staff from Baker Donelson and the American Bar Association's national administrator.

The ABA Free Legal Answers project is modeled after Tennessee's virtual legal answers site - Online TN Justice. To visit the updated Tennessee site, visit tn.freelegalanswers.org. The site's purpose is to help low income people receive free civil legal advice. More than 20 states have launched as of October 4, 2016.
