LAS-Columbia Welcomes New Attorney
NASHVILLE, Tenn. June 30, 2014 – Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, Tennessee’s largest non-profit law firm, has welcomed attorney Patricia Jones to its Columbia office.
Prior to joining Legal Aid Society, Jones was a court appointed attorney and Guardian ad Litem in private practice, representing parents or children in dependency and neglect proceedings. She simultaneously served as a volunteer and pro bono counsel for Legal Aid of East Tennessee. Jones also spent seven years with Community Legal Services of Mid-Florida, Inc., first as a staff attorney, then co-leader of its Housing Substantive Law Unit.
“We’re excited to have Patricia join our team. She’s going to be a great asset,” said David Kozlowski, managing attorney for the Columbia office of Legal Aid Society. “Patricia has significant, across-the-board experience representing low-income clients. I know she will be a valued resource for the people we serve.”
Jones earned her juris doctorate from Washington and Lee University School of Law and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She is a member of the Tennessee Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.
