LASMTC Hosts "People's Law School" this fall

Staff from Legal Aid Society, along with some special guests, will be hosting a free "People's Law School" as part of the Nashville Community Education Commission's Fall classes at Cohn Learning Center, 4805 Park Avenue (Nashville), on most Thursday evenings from 6-7pm through mid-November.

The following classes be held Thursdays at Cohn Learning Center:

(Oct. 24) Basics of Advance Care Planning: Instructors will go over common legal documents like power of attorney, appointment of health care agent, advance care plans and wills. This class will last until 7:30 p.m. Class ID: 1310AF13A Taught by Attorney Lea Johnson

(Nov. 7) The New Health Care Law: Know the Latest Facts: What will the law do to help me afford health insurance? How can I sign up for insurance through the Marketplace? What happens if I don't have health insurance by 2014? How will this affect my Medicare? With serious health problems, will the law help me get insurance I can afford?
