TALS Welcomes TSU Interns

Tennessee State University Students spend the summer with TALS

The Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services welcomes two outstanding young interns for summer 2013. Miranda McDonald and Krisyten Petty are undergraduate interns from Tennessee State University (TSU) in Nashville, Tennessee. Both ladies are interested in attending law school and are enjoying being placed at an agency that interacts with the civil legal service agencies across the state of Tennessee. Both interns will primarily be assiting with 1-888-aLEGALz, but will also spend time on other TALS projects. TALS is thrilled to have both interns join us for the summer.

Miranda McDonald

Miranda's anticipated graduation date from TSU is December 2013. Miranda is obtaining her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and finds herself drawn to legislative work. Her past internship experiences include interning with Representative Bob Ramsey, R-Maryville, District 20, the Tennessee Democratic Party, and the Davidson County Election Commission. Miranda has also volunteered with the Martha O'Bryan Center.

 

Krysten Petty

Krysten's anticipated graduation date from TSU is May 2014. Krysten is obtaining her Bachelors of Arts in Political Science with a minor Spanish. Krysten has taken several courses relevant to law, including Judicial Process, Legal Research and Writing, American National Government, and State and Local Government.
