Legal Aid of East Tennessee Seeks Two Attorneys

STAFF ATTORNEY POSITIONS AVAILABLE

 

1.  Legal Aid of East Tennessee seeks a full-time staff attorney available to work out of the Knoxville, Chattanooga, or Johnson City office to assist individuals facing eviction and oversee a new Eviction Prevention grant. The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ experience practicing law and experience with project management. A demonstrated commitment to high-quality legal work and equal access to justice is required.  Candidates must be admitted to the Tennessee Bar or admitted to the bar of another state with the ability to waive into Tennessee. Salary dependent upon experience. Excellent benefits. This position is initially funded for two years. Continuation of this position is contingent on continued grant funding. 2.  Legal Aid of East Tennessee seeks a full-time Staff Attorney to handle housing cases. This position is funded by an Eviction Prevention Grant awarded to Legal Aid of East Tennessee for two years.  The attorney will be representing clients who are facing evicted from their home.  

 

Legal Aid of East Tennessee serves 26 counties in East Tennessee. We have offices in Johnson City, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. The attorney for this position can work out of any of these offices.
