LEGAL AID OF EAST TENNESSEE SEEKS APPLICANTS FOR 3 POSITIONS

 

1. STAFF ATTORNEY POSITION

Legal Aid of East Tennessee seeks a full-time staff attorney available to work out of the Knoxville, Chattanooga, Johnson City, or Morristown office to assist seniors in general civil legal matters, preferably with ten years of legal experience. This position will be part of a state-wide Elder Trust Consortium, a first-of-its-kind partnership between legal aid programs in Tennessee to bring high-quality legal services to our seniors. A demonstrated commitment to high-quality legal work and equal access to justice is required.  Candidates must be admitted to the Tennessee Bar or admitted to the bar of another state with the ability to waive into Tennessee. Salary dependent upon experience. Excellent benefits. This position is initially funded for three years. Continuation of this position is contingent on continued grant funding. 2. OUTREACH COORDINATOR POSITION

Legal Aid of East Tennessee seeks a full-time paralegal available to work out of the Knoxville, Chattanooga, Johnson City, or Morristown office to serve as the Outreach Coordinator as part of the state-wide Elder Trust Consortium, a first-of-its-kind partnership between legal aid programs in Tennessee to bring high-quality legal services to our seniors. Bachelor’s degree or certification from an accredited paralegal program required. Spanish fluency is a plus. Excellent benefits. This position is initially funded for three years. Continuation of this position is contingent on continued grant funding. Applicants should submit a letter of interest, resume, three references, and writing sample to:
